I am Caitlyn, founder of Compassionate Postpartum Care, Doula, Educator, Coach, Care Provider, and much more. Prior to the birth of my own daughter, I was a social worker and private childcare provider. In those roles I frequently had the privilege of seeing families though major life transitions and I developed a deep passion for helping families to thrive!
After three (eye-opening) years at home with my daughter, I decided to focus my education, experience, and passion into a new career, and I have never looked back! I am humbled and honored each time a client welcomes me into their home, during what I know to be some of the most precious and vulnerable moments in a family's life.
It is important to me to bring current knowledge, evidence-based care, and a well-rounded perspective to every client I work with. Continuing my training and education with diverse organizations and certifying agencies has played a large role in this on-going endeavor. I am proud to be certified as a Postpartum Doula through both DONA International and ProDoula, an Infant Sleep Educator through BeboMia, and a Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator through Circle of Security International. I am also a proud 2020 Mom Ambassador and a member of Postpartum Support International, striving to help close gaps in Maternal Mental Health Care.
I firmly believe in non-judgmental support. Each child and family is unique and there is almost never a "one size fits all" answer. I will gladly provide you with a wide range of evidence-based information, resources, and hands-on support, but I will not impose my own opinions or preferences on your family. It is up to you to determine the approach that is right for your family. In caring for your family, "my philosophy" will always be your philosophy!
